missing standalone downloads for 2.4.x

I'm looking into deploying the standalone version of HornetQ. The latest available download at http://hornetq.jboss.org/downloads is version 2.4.0.Final from December 2013, while at the same time I see the project is actively developed and the current version is 2.4.6. This is quite confusing to me, has the standalone edition been abandoned?

The standalone edition hasn't been abandoned.  My understanding is that most of the releases of the 2.4.x branch after 2.4.0.Final were for things related to Wildfly integration so they weren't uploaded to the HornetQ website.  You can always grab the latest tag/release from GitHub and build it with "mvn -Prelease install".
