Wildfly 8.2.0.Final as production webserver?

Is Wildfly 8.2.0.Final a production-capable webserver, without needing to be front-ended by apache or some other server? Or would it always be recommended to hide it behind apache?

Is there any official documentation which discusses the issue?

Is there any documentation which talks about locking down Wildfly 8.2.0.Final when its being used in that capacity?

This support was added in WildFly 9 [wildfly-dev] Using Wildfly as a load balancer (backed by the Undertow webserver http://undertow.io/ which is part of WildFly), but it isn't in WildFly 8.
