Started an AWS AS7 instance but can't log into the web based management console

All,

I've bought an AWS instance of AS7 running on Centos and have managed to get it all setup and navigate to the welcome page (which I can see).

When I click on the management console link (9990/console) it just times out. I'd read that this might be because I hadn't created a user, so I Puttyd into the Centos, opened the add_user.sh and added a user in the ManagementRealm.

Still no luck.

Am I making a beginners error?

Any advice greatly appreciated... I've exhausted Google!

Is your AWS security group configured correctly to allow traffic on port 9990?.

Bloody good question.

I'd switched off the firewall (temporarily) in centos (which strangely just stopped all access!) but didn't know it was also configurable at the aws level.

Presumably there's a group for 'general access' (i.e. Any web based user rocks up at the i.p. Address) that I need to open up that port (just for testing). Would I be looking for something with a 0.0.0.0 mask?
