jpa change event handler - how to disable?

Hi

I am getting constant delays while waiting for 'jpa change event handler'. Apparently this is a bug in Dali.

How can I remove Dali? Or avoid this delays?

I see Dali is included in JBDS, but it does not seem to be able to be uninstalled (at least via the Eclipse UI).

I don't have a project to test it, but there is probably a JPA builder assigned to the project. See all the builders in project Properties dialog  under Builders category. I would try to disable JPA builder and see if it helps.

Anton - what bug in Dali ? something already reported we can try get fixed for Mars ?

And yes, you need to disable JPA on your project if you want to disable this.

I dont see any JPA builders for this project. Perhaps it is Hibernate builder. I'll try disabling this and see how it goes.

Can you provide those then I can try push on dali guys or find patch.

I have tried disabling ever validator - but cannot get rid of this.

Is it possible uninstall dali when it is bundled with JBDS?

Any chance of you giving us steps on how to reproduce it so we can get it fixed rather than remove/disable things ?

Since starting this thread I have been trying to find out how to reproduce it.

The project that I am working on is sensitive, and big, so I was not able to post it. I never found any consistent way of reproducing this, unfortunately.

I cannot replicate that Mars RC3 JavaEE Package with one of the project mentioned in relation to this problem in Eclipse bugzilla (here is my fork link dgolovin/uPortal · GitHub).

My personal experience confirms it is really hard or even impossible to use with projects this size.

After some testing with Mars RC3 it seems to be enough just disable JPA facet for the project to get rid of JPA related jobs. I added explanation for this option to http://stackoverflow.com/questions/19649847/eclipse-kepler-jpa-project-change-event-handler-waiting post.

You say it is not possible to reproduce the issue but you says its still impossible to use ?

What is "its" here and what makes it impossible ? some other issue we need to get reported/fixed ?

I've just done a clean install of Mars then added JBDS. And the waiting for 'jpa change event handler' is still happening.

I have eclipse log full of exceptions, just need to sort them out and report one by one. Will report as much as I can.
