ModCluster custom metric - marking node as stand-by

    aparnachaudhary

We have a mod_cluster custom load metric for session load balancing. The metric returns the load value as active session count based on custom business logic. Once the active session count equals the capacity of the node; we want to bring the node to stand-by so that new requests are routed to other available nodes but the existing sessions remain sticky to the node.

Because of MODCLUSTER-279 it is no longer possible to bring a node to stand-by through custom load metric. I see that there is already a JIRA ticket MODCLUSTER-434 filed for this.

Are there any plans to fix this in upcoming releases? If not, is there any alternate solution.

      Thank you for your help.
