My first deployment was : JBAS018559: Deployed "dashboard-web-1.0.0-20151023.082217-10.web"
Instead of using "Remove" then "Add" new deployment I used "Replace" then selected file: dashboard-web-1.0.0-20151029.093058-11.web
Notice the log after clicking finish:
JBAS018565: Replaced deployment "dashboard-web-1.0.0-20151023.082217-10.web" with deployment "dashboard-web-1.0.0-20151023.082217-10.web"
I expected to see:
JBAS018565: Replaced deployment "dashboard-web-1.0.0-20151023.082217-10.web" with deployment "dashboard-web-1.0.0-20151029.093058-11.web"
Don't panic, the contents of the deployment do change but the deployment name doesn't change.
This is on wildfly-8.2.0.Final, not sure if fixed on latest version.
My boss nearly strangled me that i did not deploy our latest release , i don't want the same to happen to you, i got your back!
