using wildfly in domain mode, can I deploy web app in expanded directory mode

Hi there,

we have an web app, for historic reason, it is not packaged as a war, it is in expanded directory mode.

I set up wildfly 9 in domain mode. I want to deploy this web app to servers using domain console.  I tried  the deployment/content repository, but it seems that I can only specify the web app package file like war file, not a directory.

Does domain mode support deployment for web apps in expanded directory mode? or is there any work around way for me to deploy expaned directory web apps to each server in domain?

We have also encountered the same problem, have you been resolved? We used content repository add an unmanaged deployment and publish it to main-server-group, when access http://127.0.0.1:8080/app return forbidden. This problem troubled us for a long time the, and not in the document to find a solution.

I haven't found solutions yet. Currently I'm working to migrate from old Jboss to Wildfly. To keep going, I'm working on standalone mode for now, so I can deploy and test applications. Eventually I'll face this issue and decide if I can use domain mode or not.

Using a directory structure as a deployment will have several problems.

What should trigger a re-deploy?

In domain mode you need to distribute the changes, if you simple change a file you need a process to propagate this consistent to the whole domain. This is more or less not possible.

Therefore the domain mode support only archives deployed with the management api/console
