1. Re: Hornetq cluster replication with 2 live servers
jbertram Feb 18, 2016 6:12 PM (in response to jcas47)Is this possible?
Yes, I think it would be possible. However, container instances are pretty "cheap" so you might be better off separating HornetQ out from the application.

jcas47 Feb 18, 2016 8:42 PM (in response to jbertram)I may have to go with the setup if possible... so maybe you can help shed some light on the errors I am seeing (think regarding to MDB) when trying to accomplish what I posted. Attached are the Widfly1 config, Wildfly2 config, and the error message I am getting on only Wildfly2 when trying to start the service. Wildfly1 starts up fine.

3. Re: Hornetq cluster replication with 2 live servers
jbertram Feb 19, 2016 10:59 AM (in response to jcas47)The problem is that your application is relying on resources that are only available when the broker is active.

4. Re: Hornetq cluster replication with 2 live servers
mnovak Feb 20, 2016 7:56 PM (in response to jcas47)I would suggest to use colocated HA topology. Wildfly1 would contain live1/backup2 and Wildfly2 live2/backup1. So Wildfly servers contains backup for each other. Normally live servers will form HornetQ cluster. If one of the Wildfly servers is killed then backup on other server activates. I've attached configs for both of the servers.

5. Re: Hornetq cluster replication with 2 live servers
jcas47 Feb 22, 2016 8:08 AM (in response to jbertram)That is what I am finding out. I think I might start looking the way of shared stores or moving HornetQ out of the container. The end goal would be if Wildfly1 were to go down, Wildfly2 would be able to process those messages. Thank you for your help.
