1. Re: Jackson module version
smarlow Feb 24, 2016 10:57 AM (in response to arielcarrera)Hibernate does have a dependency on com.fasterxml:classmate:0.8.0, however, WildFly is using 1.1.0.
I do see com.fasterxml.jackson.core:jackson-core (2.5.4) being referenced by WildFly but not Hibernate ORM. Perhaps I'm missing something when I looked.
Can you please help me to understand which artifacts your seeing the conflict with (please provide the actual maven groupid/artifactid).
Do you see an actual problem due to the conflict? Or is it more that your concerned that different versions are being used?

2. Re: Jackson module version
arielcarrera Feb 24, 2016 2:55 PM (in response to smarlow)Hi Scott... there is not conflict with included dependencies now...
but if you want to use wildfly 10 with a project that use "hibernate 5 + jackson + hibernate5module" (as you knows hibernate5module is useful to avoid problems using jackson and hibernate with lazy properties).... you will need to upgrade or exclude all jackson modules.
For example I have a project with jax-rs + hibernate 5 + jackson + wildfly 10... and I finished by adding all this modules:
com\fasterxml\jackson\core\jackson-annotations\2.7.1
com\fasterxml\jackson\core\jackson-core\2.7.1
com\fasterxml\jackson\core\jackson-databind\2.7.1
com\fasterxml\jackson\datatype\jackson-datatype-hibernate5\2.7.1
com\fasterxml\jackson\jaxrs\jackson-jaxrs-json-provider\2.7.1
Hibernate 5 is only supported by jackson starting with version 2.6.
You can check it at:
"Note: Hibernate 3.x, 4.x and 5.x are supported (5.x starting with Jackson 2.6)"
NOTE: add "jackson-datatype-hibernate5" as a module can be nice feature too....

3. Re: Jackson module version
smarlow Feb 24, 2016 3:20 PM (in response to arielcarrera)Thanks for explaining Ariel! You could file a WFLY enhancement request but even better would be create a patch to go with the jira request. :-)
If your interested in contributing the change, a guide to getting started is here. Either way is fine.

rzd Jul 8, 2016 1:36 AM (in response to smarlow)Actually, there's a pull request to update to 2.7.3 https://github.com/wildfly/wildfly/pull/8519
Are there any official release date plans available?
