Entity "locally revisioned"

Hi,

I guess the question is already asked in the forum but I have not found the response.

In the documentation :

One viable solution is to introduce an option to have an entity "locally revisioned", that is revisions would be created for it independently.

Is this implemented? How can I use it? I think that the global revision strategy will be a performance issue.
