1. Re: rich:extendedDataTable - onRowClick to fire first before any button action
michpetrov Apr 12, 2016 4:50 AM (in response to shomyj)That's how events work, the event triggers on an element and then bubbles through its parents. What are you trying to do? Can't you use oncomplete instead?

2. Re: rich:extendedDataTable - onRowClick to fire first before any button action
shomyj Apr 12, 2016 5:06 AM (in response to michpetrov)Hi Michal,
Thank you for the quick reply.
In the onRowClick of rich:extendedDataTable, we are setting some row selection specific events. So those needs to be fired before click of any button/link in the column.
I tried using onComplete on button/link click. But that is also not firing all the time after onRowClick.
We are having custom made components extending rich components, for eg single selection tables with radio button...so on row selection radio button to be selected. Now this link/button is also on row. When button clicked, row selection to be fired so that row selected with radio button...
Thanks
Shomy

3. Re: rich:extendedDataTable - onRowClick to fire first before any button action
michpetrov Apr 12, 2016 5:53 AM (in response to shomyj)ExtendedDataTable has a built-in row selection, but a button would probably still cause problems. You can try using a4j:jsFunction instead of the button, make the button just set a flag when it's clicked and then after the client-side changes if the flag is set the onrowclick function can execute the jsFunction.
I tried using onComplete on button/link click. But that is also not firing all the time after onRowClick.
Is it firing before or not firing at all?

shomyj Apr 12, 2016 5:52 AM (in response to michpetrov)onComplete on button/link ( inside column )click is firing before onRowClick event of the table.
