jbertram Apr 26, 2016 7:47 AM (in response to haiaw)The document you linked is not out of date. It is current. At this point there is no EAP release based on Wildfly (although one should be coming relatively soon - EAP 7).

If just runtime is your concern than EAP 6.3.3 and newer support Java 8 as runtime.
But as Justin pointed out, first WildFly based version of EAP is EAP 7 that is based on WildFly 10.
Its GA is coming out quite soon, you can currently grab EAP7 beta or WildFly 10 if you want to start developing using it.
Or wait till GA is out to work on it.
But if you start developing on WildFly 10 and than move to EAP7 it would be mostly transparent change.

haiaw Apr 27, 2016 2:28 AM (in response to ctomc)Hi, I am not sure if Wildfly 10 and EAP 7 would be ok. I may need to work in Java 7 (not sure if I have Java 8 in my project). So it would be great if the server would support both Java 7 and Java 8. Wildfly 10 support Java 8+ Getting Started Guide - WildFly 10 - Project Documentation Editor at least this requirements says that.
What nearest EAP based on Wildfly, if it would be Wildfly 10 then EAP would also support only Java 8 + ?
