1. Re: Wildfly 10 automatically undeploys applications when shutdown and refuses to start.
nickarls May 16, 2016 6:08 AM (in response to obinna.henry)Have you dropped the deployment archives in the deployments directory or deployed them through the admin interfaces? Are there any error messages in the log after you start it up?

2. Re: Wildfly 10 automatically undeploys applications when shutdown and refuses to start.
obinna.henry May 16, 2016 7:46 AM (in response to nickarls)i have deployed them through the admin interface.
this is part of the error messages: i have edited to mask some things
failure description: "....: No deployment content with hash dcb4683c68f8ef7f07383bc7e0e0d3f039632c5f is available in the deployment content repository for deployment 'abcxyz.war'. This is a fatal boot error. To correct the problem, either restart with the --admin-only switch set and use the CLI to install the missing content or remove it from the configuration, or remove the deployment from the xml configuration file and restart."

3. Re: Wildfly 10 automatically undeploys applications when shutdown and refuses to start.
nickarls May 16, 2016 8:02 AM (in response to obinna.henry)And there is no cleanup script or anything that might clean files in standalone/tmp/vfs? Or other file-level access problems (although one would think that the initial deploy would fail if it couldn't write it to disk)?

4. Re: Wildfly 10 automatically undeploys applications when shutdown and refuses to start.
obinna.henry May 16, 2016 10:02 AM (in response to nickarls)Hi Nicklas,
there is no cleanup script. Its a fresh cloud vps. and deploys succeed, only after shutdown, it removes all and i have to redeploy all the apps again.

5. Re: Wildfly 10 automatically undeploys applications when shutdown and refuses to start.
jaikiran May 16, 2016 10:06 AM (in response to obinna.henry)This seems to be related to [WFCORE-1330] Deployment error after reboot [WFLYSRV0137] - JBoss Issue Tracker. You might want to add a comment in that JIRA pointing the developer there to this thread here and continue the discussion here.

10. Re: Wildfly 10 automatically undeploys applications when shutdown and refuses to start.
ehugonnet May 18, 2016 6:18 AM (in response to obinna.henry)The wildfly service is running under the wildfly user or as a user that is in the wildfly group ?
Could you check that you have the <deployment> element in your standalone.xml and that the hash is correct ?
I'm wondering since the content was created on the 29th of April if you have restarted since ?

11. Re: Wildfly 10 automatically undeploys applications when shutdown and refuses to start.
anchalsachdev Apr 11, 2017 7:41 AM (in response to obinna.henry)I am facing the same issue. Although I am running my Wildfly 10 server on Linux OS. I checked my logs and the data in /standalone/data/content folder is being deleted because of which I am getting the above-mentioned exception. The log says - WFLYDR0009: Content /data/wildfly-10.1.0.Final/standalone/data/content/e3/43bde5bfc12c80c373224344e37b7fd28c2fb3 is obsolete and will be removed
2017-04-11 03:25:11,451 INFO [org.jboss.as.repository] (ServerService Thread Pool -- 1) WFLYDR0002: Content removed from location /data/wildfly-10.1.0.Final/standalone/data/content/e3/43bde5bfc12c80c373224344e37b7fd28c2fb3/content
2017-04-11 03:25:11,451 DEBUG [org.jboss.as.server] (ServerService Thread Pool -- 1) {"deleted-contents" => ["/data/wildfly-10.1.0.Final/standalone/data/content/e3/43bde5bfc12c80c373224344e37b7fd28c2fb3"]}
Now when I remove the entry for that war from standalone.xml I am able to restart the server, but I need a more permanent solution. Can anyone help with this?

12. Re: Wildfly 10 automatically undeploys applications when shutdown and refuses to start.
ehugonnet Apr 20, 2017 7:14 AM (in response to anchalsachdev)I have some idea about how to fix that. IIRC you are using EC2 on AWS. Is there a way to test a patched version of WildFly in your environment to see if the fix is working ?

13. Re: Wildfly 10 automatically undeploys applications when shutdown and refuses to start.
anchalsachdev Apr 24, 2017 6:34 AM (in response to ehugonnet)We are using AWS for our deployment. And yes, we can try using a patched version of Wildfly. Can you share the link from where we can get this version?

14. Re: Wildfly 10 automatically undeploys applications when shutdown and refuses to start.
ehugonnet May 11, 2017 6:16 AM (in response to anchalsachdev)Hi,
Sorry for the delay but I was on holidays; Could you try Dropbox - wildfly-10.1.0.Final.tar.gz there is hopefully a fix for it.
