Do you face the [JBIDE-22288] VPE crashes studio with JRE fatal error on Fedora 23 - JBoss Issue Tracker on Fedora 24 ? AFAIK There are a few issues coupled with webkit that were reported for Fedora 23 and no longer reproducible against Fedora 24:

When I added
--launcher.GTK_version
2
to devstudio.ini it worked! Using the SWT-GTK3 command line argument does not work. So I now, finally, can use VPE in Fedora.
