Teiid Designer Plugin within Eclipse Che

I was wondering if anyone has any experience using Teiid Designer within a cloud based IDE such as Eclipse Che?

It would largely be a rewrite of the current Designer, rather than a simple packaging effort as unfortunately Che is an entirely different platform and does not have Ecore/EMF support - How can I add eclipse EMF to eclipse che ?? · Issue #1177 · eclipse/che · GitHub

Che does seem to offer a lot of advantages, so perhaps it's something that we can get engaged with as we look past the current incarnation of Designer.
