jaikiran Aug 22, 2016 8:24 AM (in response to chaitanyacsk)Well, if you are going to build your code with Java 8 and try to run it against a JBoss server which uses Java 6 (as you state in your first post), then no you won't be able to do that unless you upgrade the server to run on Java 8.
If however you are using JBoss AS 6.1.0 with Java 8 runtime and it is running into some issues, then that specific version of server wasn't ever tested against that version of JRE. So there's no guarantee it will run fine.

wdfink Aug 25, 2016 4:51 PM (in response to chaitanyacsk)As JBoss AS6 is quiet old I would recommend an update anyway.
If you have EJB2 EntityBeans it might be a problem as there is no longer support for this in WildFly10.
But if the application should continue I would recommend to update it in this context.
