ModCluster 2.0.0 timeline and backward compatiblity

Hello,

I would like to know if there is any known timeline for the modcluster's 2.0.0.Final release. If there is none, any vague approximation would also be welcome.

Moreover, I would like to know if the 2.0.0.Final release is expected to be backward compatible with 1.x.y releases, more specifically the 1.3.1.Final and 1.3.3.Final releases.

no yet we have done the first step: 2 repo: one for native and one for java.

The protocol between the proxy and the node will remain compatible
