1. Re: rich:popupPanel in richfaces 4.5.13 use some space at the bottom of page
michpetrov Feb 11, 2016 6:52 AM (in response to damdza)It was changed because a hidden block element is still "visible" by breaking the flow of text. An inline-block element shouldn't by itself cause a gap like this though, check your CSS, perhaps you had it set up to work with the block.

blebleskeble Mar 1, 2016 4:13 AM (in response to michpetrov)Hi,
I'm facing exactly same issue. No css applied on dialogs but div with visibility: hidden; still takes one line height...

3. Re: rich:popupPanel in richfaces 4.5.13 use some space at the bottom of page
michpetrov Mar 1, 2016 5:41 AM (in response to blebleskeble)Well, it's a weird property of HTML, the gap is caused by the whitespace around the panel (the div itself is 0x0), seems that it only occurs when the panel is surrounded by block elements. The way around it is to set parent's font-size to 0.

4. Re: rich:popupPanel in richfaces 4.5.13 use some space at the bottom of page
blebleskeble Mar 2, 2016 7:36 AM (in response to michpetrov)But setting parents font-size to 0 will in most cases affect and literally destroy whole page(s) as it is by default body element...
my workaround is setting inline divs position attribute to absolute

5. Re: rich:popupPanel in richfaces 4.5.13 use some space at the bottom of page
michpetrov Mar 2, 2016 7:24 AM (in response to blebleskeble)You have to set the children back to default, e.g.
body { font-size: 0px; } body > * { font-size: 12px; }

gusthavosouza Oct 1, 2016 10:40 PM (in response to damdza)A set position:absolute; in a CSS class, and works for me.
