1. Re: Changes to standalone.xml overwritten in restart
jaikiran Dec 8, 2016 6:15 AM (in response to haba713)Don't change them when the server is running. Instead use the command line interface (CLI) or the admin console to change them, so that they are persisted across restarts. If you do want to manually change the xml, stop the server first, do the change, save it and then start the server.

admin console: I can change the value of max parameters from 1000 to 4000 in http://localhost:9990/console/App.html#http;name=default-server but how can I add <access-log />?

3. Re: Changes to standalone.xml overwritten in restart
emag Dec 8, 2016 1:31 PM (in response to haba713)It seems you can't add the access-log settings on the admin console. try CLI like the following.
```
$ cd $WILDFLY_HOME/bin
$ ./jboss-cli.sh -c
```
and then, you can see the CLI pronmpt
```
[standalone@localhost:9990 /]
```
now, hit the following command.
```
[standalone@localhost:9990 /] /subsystem=undertow/server=default-server/host=default-host/setting=access-log:add
```
