1. Re: How to define custom log level in Wildfly 10
mayerw01 Dec 15, 2016 7:02 AM (in response to himalayagupta)This coul be done via the <logger> element like
<logger category="sun.rmi">
<level name="WARN"/>
</logger>

jamezp Dec 19, 2016 5:08 PM (in response to himalayagupta)The validation for the levels uses a check on known levels. I don't think it would work to add a custom one. What is it you're trying to accomplish with a custom level? There might be a different way to handle it.

3. Re: How to define custom log level in Wildfly 10
himalayagupta Dec 20, 2016 11:58 PM (in response to jamezp)I was using jboss 6, where i defined my own level in log4j. Now in wildfly its logging sub-system. Hence i am trying to look for something where i can configure the same using the logging sub-system. I need to define a custom level say "ABCLevel" instead of using the std levels like (INFO, FINE, WARN, etc.). Log4j – Custom Log Levels - Apache Log4j 2 this talks about defining in log4j.xml, but is it possible to add similar config in logging sub-system?

jamezp Dec 21, 2016 12:04 PM (in response to himalayagupta)Not it's not possible with the logging subsystem to create new levels. However if you're application is using log4j you could use per-deployment logging Logging Configuration - WildFly 10 - Project Documentation Editor .'
