1. Re: Windows Defender Flagging org.jboss.tools.ws.wise.ui_1.9.3.v20161214-2127.jar as Malware
nickboldt Apr 24, 2017 12:28 PM (in response to tr0y.trav15jbossdev)Cannot reproduce.
a) Installed Eclipse Neon.3 from oomph installer - Eclipse Downloads
b) Installed all of JBoss Tools from the Eclipse marketplace (don't have to install Integration Stack to get this file installed)
c) updated Defender to latest definitions
- Last update: Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB3150513) (on 2017-04-22)
- Last Defender update: Definition Update for Windows Defender - KB2267602 (Definition 1.241.274.0). installed 2017-04-24 at 12:12pm EDT
- Virus/spyware definition 1.241.323.0
d) ran custom scan on my ~/eclipse, ~/.eclipse and ~/.p2 folders - no problems found.
Maybe your Defender needs to be configured to ignore your ~/eclipse folder?

tr0y.trav15jbossdev Apr 24, 2017 8:43 PM (in response to nickboldt)Hey Nick,
Thanks for the quick reply.
I had updated to the latest at the time of writing the post; perhaps it was an earlier version than the one identified in your post. Regardless, I updated again today after reading your post and the version is now at 1.241.345.0 and the file is no longer being flagged.
I did have the same latest Windows Update as you, though.
Thanks for the forum links and the FYI.
Regards,
Troy.
