Wildfly 10 standalone.xml loses <profile> section

Hi all,

I have a dev VM on the cloud running WildFly Full 10.0.0.Final. I don't run anything valuable on it, it's just an experimentation machine, so all ports are exposed on the public internet (don't judge).

There are two incidents where standalone.xml loses the <profile>...</profile> element without any particular reason (to my knowledge, at least). The server boots fine but all of its subsystems are gone.

Has anyone ever noticed something similar?

Hi Kos, never saw the profile being remove unintentionally. Can you enable the audit logging to see what action is removing the profile ?

Are you running in domain mode by chance? You may be hitting [WFCORE-1577] After a full-replace-deployment operation a server on a hosts subsystem model is empty - JBoss Issue Track… .

I was doing redeployments of disabled apps, indeed. The effect is probably noticable after a server restart, so I thought something was breaking in between the times I was using the VM.
