Can't delete address from AMQ Hawtio web console.

Hello,

I was trying to delete and address from hawtio web console. I got to the final pop-up for last confirmation, but nothing happens after click on "OK" button.

After spending some time, I found, there some issue with javascript and ajax. Following is the detail stack trace.

I am using Google Chrome(Version 60.0.3112.78 (Official Build) (32-bit)).

Actual domain is changed.

Hello John,

What is your broker version and does your address have any queues bound?

Does it work on a new address that you just created?

I just created and deleted a new address using hawtio without problems on AMQ 7.0.2

What is your broker version and does your address have any queues bound? -- AMQ 7.0.1. No, it empty address.

Does it work on a new address that you just created? - No difference if it is new or OLD address. I have tested against addresses created Yesterday or now.

I can delete Queues inside Address, but not Address regardless of it is bound to any Queue or not.

Sounds to me like this known issue, [ENTMQBR-767] Address can't be deleted via management console - JBoss Issue Tracker .

I was able to reproduce the problem using the instructions of ENTMQBR-767.

However I think there is a workaround:

If you delete the address using the JMX operation deleteAddress() on the broker MBean (select top level broker element in left tree, then select Operations tab in right pane and use deleteAddress() operation) then the address gets deleted properly.

Perhaps you could confirm it also works in your env.

This was actually the procedure I used to delete the address in my initial testing...
