nickarls Sep 20, 2017 1:45 AM (in response to brutalfail)Hmm. The problem is probably that since the JSF implementation is provided by the appserver, the class loader picks up the root implementation first.
I haven't written custom components but I would assume that JSF has some sort of mechanism (faces-config.xml) for registering the custom library so it gets registered with the JSF implementation

nickarls Sep 20, 2017 3:39 AM (in response to brutalfail)I would guess overrides like that would have to be in the JSF module and even then, if there is no configurable extension point, the implementation would still probably pick up its base class first(?)
