How can I write the build.xml file for Ant fastly?

hi all: I am a newbie for J2EE. Now I use the JBOSS to develop the EJB. But every time I must write a build.xml file for ant to build the EJB java file and generate the jar, war, ear file. I want to know how can I write the build.xml file for Ant fastly? Is there any better ways to develop? Thank you for you attention these request. I am looking forward your reply. Thank you!

IMHO The best approach for ant is to write a sort of
template that is configurable using properties
defined at the top of build.xml

The JBoss testsuite uses ant and XDoclet.
