Failing to deploy webapp business-central.war

Long story short, there were some developers here who completely screwed up the business-central.war application to the point that I had to delete the directory and copy it back over.  Since copying a previous version back over and ensuring the file permissions were all good, when I boot EAP it doesn't even see the directory.  It doesn't error out, rather it acts like the directory/app doesn't even exist.  Any idea what the problem could be?

I'm a system administrator who kind of got thrown into the role of maintaining JBoss EAP with no training or knowledge of it, so I'm a bit of a noob at this.

Since you mention you are deploying a "directory", I'm guessing you are deploying it as an exploded deployment. So I guess you are just missing a .dodeploy marker file. For example for a foo.ear application to be deployed as exploded deployment, you need a foo.ear.dodeploy marker file along with that .ear file in the deployments folder, for the deployment to be picked up.

And like Tomaz says, there's been some change to where you are expected to ask EAP questions.

Your issue seems to be related to marker file. Try adding .dodeploy marker file.
