Support license and commerical usage - wildfly

    anand.babu1

We are using JBOSS AS 5.1.0 as our application server for deploying our custom made applications for production use. As per documentation, it is suggested to move to JBOSS EAP or Wildfly AS.

      But our question is,

Can we use wildfly AS for commercial/production usage for free? What about the same for JBOSS EAP?

Which version of wildfly has default compatibility with java 8 SDK?

If we are going to migrate to wildfly, how about support? Can we get prompt response to queries/live support/bug fixes etc for free or for a license with Redhat/anywhere? Please suggest.

If we want support, whether it is better to go to EAP instead?

WildFly 8.1 was first that "worked" with JDK8, but WildFly 10 was first that required it as minimum requirement.

Given you opened support ticket I will leave it to the support to respond to it.
