INITIAL CONTEXT FACTORY difference between versions

In JBoss version 4.2  JNDI setup config , INITIAL CONTEXT FACTORY is set to org.jnp.interfaces.NamingContextFactory

in current versions ( 7)  it is org.jboss.naming.remote.client.InitialContextFactory

What's the difference ? and  is org.jnp.interfaces.NamingContextFactory still supported in ver 7? and vice versa is org.jboss.naming.remote.client.InitialContextFactory supported in 4.2 ?

Where is the documentation for this details ?

Current version is 11 as in WildFly 11.

org.jnp.* was present in < 7, version 7+ use new remoting infrastructure.

The issue i have now is that a mixed setting is working , on Jboss 7.1

something like this

"Context Factory" = org.jnp.interfaces.NamingContextFactory

"Provider Url" = remote://162.192.144.20:1099,remote://162.192.144.80.1099

Is this even possible ?
