setSessionContext at every call?

i'm using JBoss-2.4.4 and just see in my trace-messages that
setSessionContext() is called on every method-call!? (SFSB)

as i understand the spec, setSessionContext is called only once after newInstance() and before ejbCreate().
(orion does it in this way)
