The web management console is provided by /usr/share/wildfly/modules/system/layers/base/org/jboss/as/console/main/release-stream-2.8.27.Final-resources.jar and it is missing from the repository.
I have not been using dnf to install wildfly, can you try to install wildfly from zip files ?
I have never had any trouble downloading and running wildfly, but surely I am not the only one who thinks it would be worthwhile to have an updated, working version of wildfly in the fedora repo.
I would be equally grateful to know where I could find up-to-date information on the status/progress of this package.
The WildFly team maintains and provides the archives that are available for download on its downloads page. These archives can be downloaded and installed on any OS that supports a JVM (I'm sure you know that, but I just wanted to note it here for the sake of completeness). The operating system specific packaging (like RPM) is provided by community volunteers and not from WildFly team itself. At least that was the case a few years back and I don't know if that has changed.
Either way, I think the RPM package that's made available in that repo seems to be (intentionally?) missing the admin console. The maintainers of that RPM package are listed here https://admin.fedoraproject.org/pkgdb/package/rpms/wildfly/ . Maybe getting in touch with them might help understand if there are any plans on making the console available and also whether there's any plan to support the recently release 11.0.0.Final of WildFly.
Unfortunately the wildfly rpm package is not maintained and I recommend you to use the zip download.
ok thanks for your help
