Hi - you can set the measurement to Enabled under Schedules.

Better to do it globally under Administration > Metric Collect Templates, unless you want to monitor just this one web module.

Note that active sessions does not necessarily equal number of active users. It's just a measure of the number of session-objects.

I have already active / enable measurement under scheduler and also Metric Collection Templates, but i don't view any metric under deployment web section.

i think its Plugin issue, because i receive agent side below mentioned error

WARN  [ResourceContainer.invoker.daemon-10] (rhq.modules.plugins.jbossas7.StandaloneASComponent)- The requested path property jboss.server.base.dir is not registered in the server, so not resolving it.

            screenshot are attached.

            i have use

Jboss ON Version = 3.3 (Server Side)

            jboss-as-7.1.0.Final (Agent Side)

            kindly help in this regards

Well at least you need it to run for a while, I see a lot of DOWN availability there.

And make sure you actually have some sessions created in the application.

Could you make a screenshot showing the Connection Settings for the AS7 server? Make sure the Home/Base/Config directories are correct (even if it shouldn't really matter)

The property jboss.server.base.dir should be set in the standalone.conf file I think, but it's only a WARN so is probably not related.

Are you getting any other WARN/ERROR in the agent log? Or server log?

I have run this application continuously in browser but there is not showing any metric of session created, etc .

below mentioned my JBOSS standalone server connection settings.

there is no error/warning in agent log or server, only below mentioned error showing in agent log.

WARN  [ResourceContainer.invoker.daemon-10] (rhq.modules.plugins.jbossas7.StandaloneASComponent)- The requested path property jboss.server.base.dir is not registered in the server, so not resolving it.

I don't really know then, sorry. Maybe if some of the RH guys that used to frequent these forums could have a look.

But there's very little activity on RHQ these days I'm afraid.

It might also be a bug with monitoring of Jboss AS7.1, that might be changed in newer versions. AS7 is getting quite old and it's recommended to move to the latest Wildfly.

I'm trying to remember if I've encountered something similar, but at the moment can't think of anything.

I do notice you are running JON. If you are using JON you should also have a support option on Red Hat Customer Portal .

The JON support team is very helpful and should be able to help you with this, even if Jboss AS7 isn't directly supported.
