Existing bug in 2.4.4 still in latest 3.0
I'm not sure why this has received so little attention, but can someone definitively confirm whether this is a bug in jBoss's behavior?
It appears that any application exception that causes a rollback condition, is being wrapped in a series of EJBExceptions and finally in a TransactionRolledBackException before returning to the client. It may be that this occurs if another bean method is invoked _after_ the rollback. This is certainly not the desired (spec-compliant) behavior. I've attached a long stack trace (sorry.)
Also, there are some comments in the transaction interceptors that allude to invocations of bean methods after a transaction has been rolled back may be the cause of this. If this is the case, I would take issue with the analysis. I agree that those methods (at least those that operate with transaction > Not Supported) should not be executed, but if they are, it isn't a system exception condition.
Please advise.
