Wildfly service not start on Windows 2012

HI.

I have installed Wildfly (11.0.0 Final) service on a Windows 2012 server by typing command:

C:\EAI\wildfly-11.0.0.Final\bin\service>service.bat install

...........

...........

...........

Service Wildfly installed

But when I try to start service I have de issue:

Windows could not start the Wildfly service on Local Computer...

...........

.............. service-specific error:  Incorrect function.

When checking Windows event viewerI found this:

The Wildfly service terminated with the following service-specific error:

Incorrect function.

.........................

Event ID: 7024

Event Source: Service Control Manager

Locate ID: 3082

Can anybody tell me anything about this issue??

* When I run standalone.bat, Wildfly start correctly... But I need to install it as service.

Most of the WFly service problems I've run into on W2012 have been related to permissions.  If I open the cmd prompt as administrator (right click, Run as admin) and then run the service install script this takes care of them.

Yes, I installed service as Administrator.

Service was installed succesfull, aparently. The I can´t is to start it.

In addition to the aforementioned error, I see another error message when I try to start the service by command:

C:\EAI\wildfly-11.0.0.Final\bin\service>service start

Using the X86-64bit version of prunsrv

The data area passed to a system call is too small.

Failed to start serviceService Wildfly starting...

ERROR: Failed to load service Wildfly configuration

Where can I find a log file that records this information in more detail?

There's now a "service.YYYY-MM-DD.log" file in the log directory.  You may need need to adjust the "loglevel" setting in service.bat to squeeze more information out of this.

You can also check, if service.bat(prunsrv) is writing all the parameters(passing while installing Wildfly as a service) to windows registry?

Thanks, but I´m not able to find "service.YYYY-MM-DD.log"  file...

I can see server.log.YYYY-MM-DD in log folder, but not service....log

Hi, I´m looking for these parameters in service.bat script, but I don´t find.

Cheking register, I found yet some entries for Wildfly inside....

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Apache Software Foundation\Procrun 2.0\Wildfly\Parameter

HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Wildfly\Parameters

HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Wildfly\Parameters

HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Wildfly\Parameters

All this "parameters" folders, are emptys.

Ok, solved by myself.

The problem resides in DESCRIPTION parameter in service.bat.

rem NO quotes around the description here!

set DESCRIPTION="WildFly Application Server"

The documentation talk about to eliminate the quotes on that parameter, but this don´t work for me.

My solution was to eliminate quotes AND white spaces:

set DESCRIPTION=WildFly_Application_Server

After this service start correctly.
