how to handle license increment and decrement across the node??

We are using 8.1.3 infinispan version for our java application clustering.We have cache that have licence increment value. but it always is not correct value because of concurrent processing.I know there is locking concept .but isnt that perfomance problem as locking entire cluster all the time??. is there any better way to accomplish??

In more recent Infinispan versions you can find support for counters out of the box.

You should use a newer Infinispan version and all your problems will be solved

A strong counter is more expensive than a weak counter. The documentation has all the details
