max-pool-size in WF15/16 is limited to 64

The max-pool-size setting for a datasource seems to be honored up to 64, after which higher settings still result in 64 connections, in both WF15 and 16 (but not 14!).

Am I missing some new setting somewhere or is this a bug?

Ojdbc8 on Oracle 12. Same combo works on WF 14.

Load testing with a pool configured with 100 connections. No matter the
load, DB sessions never go beyond 64.

I think I solved this mystery. Apparently, the number of connections is limited by the task thread pool size in the IO subsystem. I just happened to look at a more capable machine running WF14 which had that defaulted to 512.
