In case it helps anyone ...
I had probs deploying an ANT-generated war file. The error happened when the deployer tried to extract a .jar file.
The prob is fixed and MAY have been due to installing j2sdk1.4 and NOT setting my path env var to point to the bin dir (containing jar.exe). Check it if you have similar probs.
