other example is when you have charracters like "ø" in the Page Name .
Did you change the theme's charset ? I don't think (pretty sure) that the default one is supposed to work with Cyrilic Characters
if i have a portlet which contains cyrilic its okei .. but when i make the name of the "page" this called page name when you creating new tab with cyrilic chars.. i cant configure it .. when i click on it to "show and check which portlets i want i happenes nothink :+P except the exception : ).
i will check what this thema charset is :) in a sec.
how can i change this Theme's charset ?
let me explain
i make a new Page Name :
and when i click on IT ( on this new test page to configure its portlet i get ) :
yes i can open it ..
but why ? why its not a problem ? or you want from me to report the bug. i think that this bug is kind of what im sayng :
JBPORTAL-536:"Add a display-name property per portal object that contains a i18n name for displaying object"
but my point maybe is : add a display-name property per page name which will be dispalyed in the tab pane with i18n encoding :>
oki i think i just must wait for the issue and the solve of the problem
m thanks you post the issue ;) oki
i will wait and check for the solve often:>
btw can i edit some XML file manualy to make my thinkg works ? without using the managment portlet
I created a new task:
It won't be fixed in the first alpha release (due very soon). We are working on a new management portlet anyway.
You can do it from the -object.xml file. See the reference documentation.
Thanks for the bug report by the way !
np but :+)
which objects.xml file are you speaking ? default-object.xml ? becouse there is no description there how the Pages and portlets in this pages are organized.
btw i found a
there is a line like this :
INSERT INTO JBP_OBJECT_NODE VALUES(62,'default.Partners','Partners',2)
i was understood that the default.Partners vaule is the Vaule of the what is the link of the page in the portal e.g. to a some Page
the secound value 'Partners' is the display value .. or kind of it .. but when i do it Unicode .. it looks OKEI in the Portal the link looks Okei ( i mean non Unicode - just partners ) but when i click nothink happens ;> it doesnt work . :)
wanna show screenshot or im touching where is not my work :>
so the problem stays : how to set a unicode name for a "page name" :)
I just checked again, i was able to reproduce your problem with the management portlet by adding one of those french accents in the page name.
Now, i tried to do the same by using the xml descriptor, it works fine.
Try to download the holloworld portal page from the portletswap.com website: http://labs.jboss.com/portal/portletswap/portlets_tutorial.html
edit, helloworld-object.xml just change the Page name and add cyrillic characters.
Recompile (execute build) and deploy the portlet.
You should now have a page with the name you gave, if you click on it you should see the HelloWorld Portlet.
Let me know.
For more details on the XML descriptors please read the reference guide.
yes but this is if i want to enter a page name in the portlet.war .. the problem si that the users want to add different portlets to different pages.
so they must do it manualy ..
they have for example 5 generic portlets.
and they want to put some of them to one page other to another page(tab).
the idea is how to do it if the pages are cyrelic . ? :(
is there any XML or config file in Jboss portal where the "admin manager" write ? cuz if there is i can make a custom portlet for managment of portlets without problem with cirelic.
