in wich node the cms "store" my files when i use the cms admin for uploading the contents?
When running in Portal clustered mode:
If the PortalCMS clustering is used, it currently designates a Singleton PortalCMS node which processes all requests (retrieval/publishing). This node is selected randomly and when this node crashes in the cluster, another clustered node takes the role of the PortalCMS processor.
Thanks again Sohil....can you give me a reference, in the Jboss documentation, about a PortalCMS clustering?.
I started with the CMS on 100% on the filesystem
It appeared to be slow, and generating hundred of files (thousands ?)... and not even possible to go inside to "see" things.
well, it did not appeared to be a good way.
so I turned back to database repositoty storing.
so, just to know : why use the 100% filesystem ?
what are the reasons that make it interesting ?
what use case ?
It's the default storage for JackRabbit, it makes sense when you want to use a JCR without requiring to have a database.
In the case of JBoss Portal, 100% Filesystem is not really useful and the default behavior is 100% database.
