Can you please give me a link to this documentation?
On the demo page (http://livedemo.exadel.com/richfaces-demo/richfaces/modalPanel.jsf?c=modalPanel) there is a note at the bottom that says this:
The modal panel has an absolute layout. There is no reason to put it on the page where it is called.
I also would like to have the modal panel on a different page but was not able to get this to work. Does anyone have an example?
In fact, I would like to show the modal panel from an action method of a backing bean
You can include page2 code within page1 code using jsp:include or a4j:include. So that page2 comes in a modal panel. For eg:
page1.jsp <h:form> // page1 jsp codes written using JSF or any // Call the below modal panel by a button click in this code </h:form> <<rich:modalPanel id="lPanelId" autosized="true" top="20px" left="90px" moveable="true" styleClass="rich-modalpanel rich-mpnl_panel"> <jsp:include page="/page2.jsp"/> // Include page2.jsp using a modal panel </rich:modalPanel> Thanks
