you can do it by the twiddle command like this:
./twiddle.sh invoke [jmx object name] start/stop
I've been learning about/working with Twiddle. I am very new to JBoss. How do I go about getting the jmx object name?
The easiest way is to use the jmx-console: http://localhost:8080/jmx-console. That page lists all of the MBeans. There are a lot of then so I usually use a browser search based on a name that I know within my app to find the relevant MBeans.
