        This VDB does look corrupted.

In your earlier email, there was no screen shot. Have you tried manually adding the "Name in Source" in the Designer?

JTDS: what is error you are seeing?

We are also researching on our side for any issues, we had no issues with JTDS, but seen some JConnect but they were different than yours. We will let you if we find anything out.

          Remesh,

Yes, the VDB seems corrupted. I created a new project and a few new VDBs, they are all end up with errors. Although I can execute the old VDB successfully, I guess nothing get refreshed, that could be the cause of the qualification issue. Now let us focus on get the corruption issue fixed. do you have any suggestion with the error msg I sent above... or I will have to  recreate everything from scratch?

            Bo,

Corruption issue is not involved with the metadata qualification issue. I would suggest deleting all the old vdbs and restart the Designer and Server. I have not seen the error message you sent before. Do not delete the models, only VDBs, and rebuild them.

For SYBASE issue this is my suggestion: open the sybase source model in Designer, click on each table in this model and edit the "Name in source" in the properties window and prepend "OPTIMA_IQSIT.OSW." and save. Now update/synchronize the VDB and then deploy.

The difference between your test and our test is, we are using Sybase Enterprise for testing and you are using Sybase IQ. I am not much familiar with Sybase to tell the differences. Our tests with Jconn3 yeilded few issues, however JTDS worked just fine from getting the fully qualified metadata to getting the results. I am not sure of JTDS JDBC driver works with Sybase IQ, but I would suggest you give it a try.

If nothing else, try going back a version on Jconnect version 5.5, to see it makes any difference. For us it did not!

For now, manual edit of this info is fast gets you out this issue, to move forward.

Hope this helps. Please try these suggestions.

              Bo,

Please delete the above post. You do not want to give your ph# in public, you are just inviting spam. Also, we do not support over phone in community. I believe, some how you have corrupted or invalidated your install, not sure how. Install JBoss AS + Teiid in a separate directory and retrace your steps, that should solve it.

              Hope this helps.

                Bo,

Why don't you join us on IRC channel at freenode at #teiid, I can answer your questions there. We primarily use that for development, we can use that as a channel for now. Check out http://www.jboss.org/teiid/chat

I have asked about this issue in the Sybase users group here http://forums.sybase.com/cgi-bin/webnews.cgi?cmd=item-3010&group=sybase.public.jconnect
