1. Re: Property 'update' not found on type home component?
thokuest Apr 10, 2010 6:24 PM (in response to boy18nj)update is rather a method than a property. The method is defined in Seam component collatRptCatgryMapHome. Try to change
action="#{collatRptCatgryMapHome.update}"
to
action="#{collatRptCatgryMapHome.update()}"
Hope that helps!

3. Re: Property 'update' not found on type home component?
niox.nikospara.yahoo.com Apr 15, 2010 12:33 PM (in response to boy18nj)I have encountered this error in the following cases:
1) The component is located within XML comments. In this case, Facelets does not understand this is a component, but believes it is template text. It then looks for an update property, instead of an update() method. I allways use <ui:remove> to comment out Facelets tags, as:
<ui:remove><!-- <h:inputText action="#{commented.out}" /> --></ui:remove>
2) The XML namespace is missing or is incorrect (e.g. spelling error). Again Facelets does not recognize the h: namespace and treats the element as template text.
