1. Re: Why doesn't "database-portfolioDB,service=PortfolioService" seem to appear in Quick Start

Can you provide a link to where you are seeing this? If you got from Teiid website that may be pointing to the Quick Start with Teiid 8.x version. This version have some differences from previous version.
There is no reason to check out the JMX console. It may be suggesting to check for the created data sources that are needed by the Teiid when creating a dynamic VDB. Once I have the link I see if I can correct that. Otherwise you can follow this link for quick start for Teiid 7.7 http://docs.jboss.org/teiid/7.7.0.Final/quick-start-example/en-US/html_single/

2. Re: Why doesn't "database-portfolioDB,service=PortfolioService" seem to appear in Quick Start
jds711 Aug 8, 2012 11:57 AM (in response to rareddy)Hi Ramesh,
Thanks for your quick reply.
The instrunctions I am following are from the version 7.x Quick Start guide, specifically the third bullet in section 3.1, which says; "Using a web browser, goto the JMX console (http://localhost:8080/jmx-console/) and select:database-portfolioDB,service=PortfolioService to present the bean options."
Going to the url brings up a page (see snippet of top below) but I don't see the database-portfolio link anywhere to select. I've tried to look but I don't see it so I assume I've made some earlier mistake. Any idea what would cause this?
Thanks,
Jeremy
