Jozef, is it possible (and not too complicated) to upgrade the latest WildFly snapshot to Weld 2.2.0.Alpha1 ?
We are going to do this post WildFly 8 Final. However, you can do it easily yourself. Just run:
mvn clean install -f jboss-as/pom.xml -Pupdate-jboss-as -Dweld.update.version=2.2.0.Alpha1
in Weld repo.
Thank you, Jozef. I tried the upgrade and at least my web and REST app is working fine.
I'm migrating from CDI-1.0 to 1.1, but I began when
weld-2.1.2.Finalwas released (three weeks ago). Today, I realized that CDI will have a "minor" release update (1.2), and weld-2.2, which is focused in performance (one of the main goals of upgrading), will be based on this version.
How "hard" will be the upgrading from 1.1 to 1.2? Should I reconsider and upgrade directly to 1.2 instead of 1.1?
Yes, I would recommend that. The upgrade path from CDI 1.1 to CDI 1.2 will be very straightforward.
I assume "that" means upgrade to 1.1, and later upgrade to 1.2, right?
