4. Re: Gradle fails to parse a org.hornetq:hornetq-native:2.4.0.Final pom
clebert.suconic Feb 20, 2014 9:31 AM (in response to clebert.suconic)the native-package-type is used to build it jar on windows, or nar on linux.
if I set it literally it will always build the native packages that's not used on widows.

5. Re: Gradle fails to parse a org.hornetq:hornetq-native:2.4.0.Final pom
clebert.suconic Feb 20, 2014 9:59 AM (in response to clebert.suconic)As I said... The issue is that the native package is only built on Linux... on Windows it should only package it hence nar on linux, or jar on windows / mac...
How can I test this after I make changes?

6. Re: Re: Gradle fails to parse a org.hornetq:hornetq-native:2.4.0.Final pom
ariordan Feb 20, 2014 8:50 PM (in response to clebert.suconic)You can test using gradle as follows:
1: source gradle from gradle.org
2: create the following following build.gradle file in ../hornetq-HornetQ_2_4_0_Final/examples/core/twitter-connector
apply plugin: 'java'
repositories {
mavenCentral()
// maven {
// url "http://repo.mycompany.com/maven2"
// }
// maven {
// url "../local-repo"
// }
}
dependencies {
// compile 'org.hornetq:hornetq-core-client:2.3.5.Final'
compile 'org.hornetq:hornetq-core-client:2.4.0.Final'
}
3: in ../hornetq-HornetQ_2_4_0_Final/examples/core/twitter-connector, execute "gradle build". This should generate the error above. If you change the dependency to 2.3.5 the twitter connector should compile without issue.
