Yes, it is kind issue with current Teiid Designer working in multi-user environment where everyone working on same models. My suggestion is try to keep developers segregated by the models, thus you will have less conflicts. Typically, XMI files are not really designed to be artifacts that can track changes. They are persistent form of UI framework that Designer uses.

We are trying to address these in next major version of the Designer, where we will store the metadata using directly in DDL.
