Can you clarify what you mean by doesn't show up? Doesn't show up in Designer, or the Teiid importer, or just that no data seems to be retrieved?

3. Re: SQL Server's fields of type NTEXT are not displayed in Teiid
shawkins Dec 3, 2015 3:00 PM (in response to ichanjasper)How is the import being performed and can you provide some sample source DDL and the resulting Teiid Table DDL? There's nothing in just Teiid that will filter columns during import nor in the display of the metadata.

4. Re: SQL Server's fields of type NTEXT are not displayed in Teiid
ichanjasper Dec 3, 2015 5:08 PM (in response to shawkins)I think I found out an issue. It seems like Teiid mapped NTEXT data type to CLOB instead of LONGVARCHAR. (unlike sqlserver JDBC driver) Is it possible change this JDBC mapping to LONGVARCHAR for NTEXT?

Clob is the closest type that we have for a character type that is wider than the default for our string type. It would be require an enhancement for us to a new runtime type or to introduce a mechanism to have a Teiid Clob be reported as LONGVARCHAR in the JDBC DatabaseMetaData.

ichanjasper Dec 3, 2015 6:35 PM (in response to shawkins)Got it. No worries. I think I can workaround it for now. Thanks a lot!
