Where did standalone.sh/standalone.bat go?

Hello,

I'm currently looking at the Remote sample where it says that the Infinispan server should be started using bin/standalone.sh. In 8.1.3.Final there is no such file. In 5.1.6.FINAL I could find a server startup batch file named bin/startServer.sh. But I'm using 8.1.3.Final and it is not clear to me how to start the Infinispan server.

This is a total beginner question. I know. Still would appreciate some hints.

The server distribution is now a separate download.

Thanks for thre answer, but i downloaded infinispan-8.1.3.Final-all.zip. Doesn't it contain everything?

Okay, it works now. The server-side stuff was apparently not in the ALL distribution. By the way the error I got was this:

Exception in thread "main" org.infinispan.client.hotrod.exceptions.HotRodClientException:Request for messageId=2 returned server error (status=0x85): scala.MatchError: 25 (of class java.lang.Byte)

Does Infinispan use Scala? Or does it only use some libraries that were created with Scala but are used with Java (e..g. Java API of Akka).

Yes, "all" is a bit of a misnomer and should really be called "All embedded". I'll sort it out.

The Infinispan server modules are indeed built on Scala, but for a number of reasons [1] we are transitioning to using pure Java.
