And for what it's worth, I did a fair amount of searching for this documentation before posting here, but never came upon that client develop guide. I even went to the main Teiid doc page at http://teiid.jboss.org/docs/ and looked at the same 'Client Developer Guide' for 9.x but it doesn't have that same page/info.

As per the ODBC, I believe you provide the comma separated host names. I will try to find this out. HAProxy is nice in this regard, to centralize these concerns.
