Normally, connecting to remote JMS Servers can be done through a JMS Bridge:
However, I don't think this will work since it looks like you'll be utilizing other protocols to send and retrieve messages. You may want to try installing an ActiveMQ resource adapter, which may allow you to utilize the other protocols.

I've managed to connect to Amazon MQ by using the resource adapter approach...
What steps did you take to make the connection? I am trying to do the same and after following the guide and several others, my JBoss is failing to make the connection to Amazon MQ with an 'UnknownHostException'.
I've followed these steps:
Make sure you use the OpenWire URL of the broker (you can find it on the AWS console), and also make sure your VPC/networks settings don't block connections from JBOSS to you message broker.
